Monel Coil Supplier, Stockist and Exporter

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies monel coil from ready stock in Mumbai to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets. Coil is the most economical way to buy sheet-gauge material when parts are blanked, roll-formed or slit to strip, because it removes the cut-length premium and keeps the surface consistent along the whole run.

Monel covers nickel-copper alloys with outstanding resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid and flowing brackish water. In-house slitting, cut-to-length, levelling and edge conditioning let us ship coil already sized for your press or roll former.

Specifications by Grade – Plate, sheet and strip

A specification is written for a product form. The standards below are the ones that cover plate, sheet and strip; the plate, bar and tube specifications for these grades are different documents and are listed on their own pages.

Chemical Composition

Monel 400 is nominally 63% minimum nickel with 28-34% copper and up to 2.5% iron. Monel K-500 adds 2.3-3.15% aluminium and 0.35-0.85% titanium so it can be precipitation hardened.

Mechanical and Physical Properties

Monel 400 delivers about 550 MPa tensile strength annealed; K-500 reaches 1100 MPa in the aged condition while keeping the same corrosion behaviour. Both stay ductile down to cryogenic temperatures.

Industry Applications

How coil and strip is used

Coil and strip are continuous cold-rolled flat product, bought to be worked rather than installed as they arrive. The common routes are stamping and deep drawing of gaskets, bellows, diaphragms and seals; forming of springs and spring washers; slitting to narrow strip for electrical contacts, battery tabs and current collectors; shim and vessel-lining stock; and as the feedstock from which welded tube and pipe are made. Thickness tolerance and temper matter more here than they do in any other form, because the material has to survive the press.

Where monel coil is specified
IndustryTypical use
MarineSeawater piping, pump shafts, propeller sleeves and heat exchangers.
Oil and gasHydrofluoric acid alkylation units, valve trim and downhole hardware.
Chemical processingHF acid service, caustic evaporators and brine handling.
DefenceNaval fittings, fasteners and submarine components.
Power generationFeedwater heaters and condenser tubing.

Testing and Certification

Every consignment ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Depending on grade and specification we can supply positive material identification (PMI), ultrasonic and dye-penetrant testing, intergranular corrosion testing to ASTM A262 or G28, and third-party inspection release notes from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, SGS or TUV.

Aurico Alloys LLP operates an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Material for sour service can be supplied certified to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 where the grade permits.
