Titanium Grade 2
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Titanium Grade 2 (UNS R50400, W.Nr. 3.7034 / 3.7035) as sheet, plate, foil and round bar, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. It is supplied for chlorate manufacturing, chemical reactors and marine desalination.
Key Properties
- Oxygen 0.25% and iron 0.30% maximum — more strength than Grade 1, still readily formable.
- The general-purpose CP grade, and by far the most widely specified titanium in chemical plant.
- Excellent resistance in oxidising and chloride media, including seawater.
- Grade 7 and Grade 16 are this chemistry with palladium, for reducing acids where unalloyed titanium is attacked.

Unalloyed titanium is excellent in nitric acid below boiling and fully resistant to hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide, but it handles only about 7% hydrochloric acid at room temperature and is rapidly attacked by hydrofluoric acid.
