254 SMO (UNS S31254)

254 SMO (UNS S31254, W.Nr. 1.4547) is a 6% molybdenum super-austenitic stainless, nitrogen-strengthened and alloyed with copper. It resists chloride pitting and crevice corrosion well beyond the 316 family, and is specified for seawater cooling, desalination, pulp bleaching, flue-gas desulphurisation and offshore process piping.
