Pure Nickel Strips & Busbars

Aurico Alloys LLP manufactures pure nickel strip and busbars at 99.6% nickel minimum, generally 99.8–99.9%, to ASTM B162, laser cut to your battery pack layout. Strip is supplied from 0.02 mm to 20 mm thick and 3 mm to 600 mm wide, plain, punched, H-type, honeycomb and zig-zag, in the cell pitches below, with mill test certificates to EN 10204 3.1 and export packing from Mumbai. The minimum order is 5 kg. Delivery is 5–7 days for plain strip, export orders included, and depends on the order for custom designs. Nickel-plated steel strip is supplied on request; it is not stocked.

Nickel is used for cell interconnects because it spot welds cleanly to steel cell cans, resists corrosion without plating, and holds its conductivity through the heat of welding. The thicknesses most used in battery packs are 0.10, 0.12, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, 0.30, 0.40 and 0.50 mm, and sometimes 0.05 mm. Thickness, width and pitch all follow the pack design, so tell us the cell format and the current each joint has to carry and we will confirm the gauge and lead time.
