Aurico Alloys LLP manufactures pure nickel strip and busbars for 18650 battery packs, cut to your cell layout and supplied ready to weld.
The 18650 is still the most widely built cylindrical format, and the interconnect is where most pack problems start. Strip that is too thin runs hot under load; strip that is too thick will not weld cleanly with the energy a typical spot welder delivers. Getting that balance right for your current is the whole job.

Why Pure Nickel
Pure nickel spot-welds consistently to steel cell cans, resists the electrolyte and humidity present inside a pack, and holds a stable low contact resistance over thousands of cycles. Plated steel strip is cheaper but its resistance climbs as the plating wears through, and bare copper will not weld reliably to a cell can without a nickel interlayer.
