Titanium Grade 23
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Titanium Grade 23 (UNS R56407, W.Nr. 3.7165) as sheet, plate, foil and round bar, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. Ti-6Al-4V ELI, it combines very high strength, extra-low-interstitial toughness and corrosion resistance for critical chemical, oil & gas, marine, pharma and power assets.
Key Properties
- Oxygen 0.13% maximum against Grade 5's 0.20% — extra low interstitial, and the entire difference between the two alloys.
- Aluminium 5.5-6.5% and vanadium 3.5-4.5%, otherwise Grade 5's chemistry.
- Fracture toughness and ductility are what the lower oxygen buys, at some cost in strength.
- Iron 0.25% maximum, also tighter than Grade 5's 0.40%.
