Titanium Grade 9
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Titanium Grade 9 (UNS R56320) as sheet, plate, foil and round bar, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. Cold-formable and corrosion-resistant, it is used for chemical heat exchangers, oil & gas umbilicals, marine desalination, pharma reactors and power plant.
Key Properties
- Aluminium 2.5-3.5% with vanadium 2.0-3.0% — roughly half the alloy content of Grade 5.
- Cold formable and weldable, which is why it is the standard alloy for titanium tubing and hydraulic lines.
- Stronger than the commercially pure grades without Grade 5's forming difficulty.
- Oxygen 0.15% maximum, tighter than Grades 2, 3 and 4.
Applications
- Aircraft hydraulic tubing
- Bicycle frames and sports equipment
- Honeycomb and formed structures
- Downhole and subsea tubing
