Titanium Grade 4
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Titanium Grade 4 (UNS R50700) as sheet, plate, foil and round bar, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. The highest-strength commercially pure grade, it is used for high-stress aerospace airframe skins, chemical processing and marine condensers.
Key Properties
- Oxygen 0.40% and iron 0.50% maximum — the highest of the four CP grades and therefore the strongest.
- Still unalloyed: no aluminium or vanadium, so it keeps CP titanium's corrosion resistance and weldability.
- Formability is the trade. Where forming matters more than strength, Grade 1 is the other end of the same range.
- Nitrogen 0.05% maximum.
Applications
- Airframe and engine components
- Surgical implants and instruments
- High-strength chemical plant fittings
- Cryogenic vessels
