Titanium Grade 6
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Titanium Grade 6 (UNS R54520) as plate, foil and round bar, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. A Ti-5Al-2.5Sn alloy, it is used for aircraft gas turbine components and high-temperature steam turbine blades.
Key Properties
- Aluminium 4.0-6.0% with tin 2.0-3.0% — an alpha alloy, so it is not heat treatable but keeps strength at temperature.
- Good weldability and stability, both consequences of the single-phase alpha structure.
- Retains toughness at cryogenic temperature, which is where the low-interstitial version is used.
- Oxygen 0.20% and iron 0.50% maximum.
