Titanium Grade 3
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Titanium Grade 3 (UNS R50550) as sheet, plate, foil and round bar, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. It suits high-pressure chemical reactor liners, marine heat exchangers and pharma distillation.
Key Properties
- Oxygen 0.35% maximum, against 0.25% on Grade 2 — the extra oxygen is the extra strength.
- Iron 0.30% and nitrogen 0.05% maximum.
- Still unalloyed titanium, so the corrosion behaviour matches Grades 1 and 2.
- Chosen where a pressure vessel code calls for more strength than Grade 2 provides without moving to an alloy.
Applications
- Pressure vessels and code fabrications
- Chemical process equipment
- Marine and desalination hardware
- Aerospace non-critical structure
