Titanium Grade 23 Powder (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) Supplier and Exporter
Titanium Grade 23 (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) powder (R56407) is a plasma atomised or plasma rotating electrode alpha-beta titanium alloy, extra low interstitial feedstock for additive manufacturing, supplied to ASTM F3001 (PBF) in 5-25 µm, 15-45 µm, 15-53 µm, 45-105 µm, 53-105 µm, 45-150 µm, 53-150 µm size fractions.
Those tighter interstitial limits buy fracture toughness and ductility, which is what makes it the implant grade rather than Grade 5.

What Properties Does Printed Ti-6Al-4V ELI Grade 23 Reach?
Printed properties depend on the heat treatment, not just the alloy, so they are given per condition.
| Condition | Tensile strength | Yield strength | Elongation | Hardness |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| As built | 1100-1300 MPa | 1000-1150 MPa | 8-14% | 33-38 HRC |
| Stress relieved | 950-1050 MPa | 850-950 MPa | 14-20% | 30-34 HRC |
| HIP, implant condition | 900-1000 MPa | 800-900 MPa | 15-22% | 28-33 HRC |
Slightly lower strength than Grade 5 and noticeably better fracture toughness, which is the trade the tighter interstitial limits are made for.
Which Processes Can Ti-6Al-4V ELI Grade 23 Powder Be Used In?

What Is Ti-6Al-4V ELI Grade 23 Powder Used For?
Orthopaedic and spinal implants, trauma fixation, dental, and cryogenic or damage-tolerant aerospace parts.
Post-processing
Stress relief and HIP; implant work adds surface treatment and cleaning to the applicable ISO standard.
Should I use Titanium Grade 23 or Grade 5 powder?
Grade 23 is the extra-low-interstitial version of Grade 5 and is what implant standards call for: orthopaedic and spinal devices, trauma fixation, fracture-critical structure. Where the part is not implanted and strength matters more than toughness, Grade 5 is cheaper and slightly stronger.
Characterisation and Packing
Each batch is supplied with chemical analysis, particle size distribution by laser diffraction to ASTM B822, apparent and tap density, and flow rate by Hall or Carney funnel. Morphology imaging, oxygen and nitrogen analysis and reporting to ISO/ASTM 52907 are available where your qualification requires them.
Powder is packed under argon in sealed containers with desiccant, labelled with lot number, alloy, particle size cut and date of atomisation.
