Nichrome (NiCr) Coil Supplier, Stockist and Exporter
Table of Contents
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies nichrome coil from ready stock in Mumbai to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets. Coil is the most economical way to buy sheet-gauge material when parts are blanked, roll-formed or slit to strip, because it removes the cut-length premium and keeps the surface consistent along the whole run.
Nichrome covers nickel-chromium resistance alloys specified by ratio for electrical heating and precision resistors. In-house slitting, cut-to-length, levelling and edge conditioning let us ship coil already sized for your press or roll former.

Specifications by Grade – Plate, sheet and strip
A specification is written for a product form. The standards below are the ones that cover plate, sheet and strip; the plate, bar and tube specifications for these grades are different documents and are listed on their own pages.
| Grade | UNS | Plate, sheet and strip specification |
|---|---|---|
| 80/20 | N06023 | ASTM B344 |
| 70/30 | N06003 | ASTM B344 |
| 60/15 | N06024 | ASTM B344 |
Grades and International Equivalents

Chemical Composition
Grades are named for their nickel and chromium ratio: 80/20 is 80% Ni with 20% Cr; the 60/15, 40/20 and 30/20 grades substitute iron for nickel, trading maximum service temperature for cost.
Mechanical and Physical Properties
Resistivity sits near 1.09 ohm-mm2/m for 80/20 with a very low temperature coefficient. Maximum element temperature is about 1200°C for 80/20, falling to roughly 1100°C for the iron-bearing grades.
Industry Applications
How coil and strip is used
Coil and strip are continuous cold-rolled flat product, bought to be worked rather than installed as they arrive. The common routes are stamping and deep drawing of gaskets, bellows, diaphragms and seals; forming of springs and spring washers; slitting to narrow strip for electrical contacts, battery tabs and current collectors; shim and vessel-lining stock; and as the feedstock from which welded tube and pipe are made. Thickness tolerance and temper matter more here than they do in any other form, because the material has to survive the press.
| Industry | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Industrial heating | Furnace elements, heating coils and radiant heaters. |
| Appliances | Toasters, hair dryers, ovens and immersion heaters. |
| Electronics | Precision resistors, thin-film resistive layers and thermocouples. |
| Automotive | Glow plugs, seat heaters and sensor elements. |
| Aerospace | De-icing elements and cabin heating systems. |
Testing and Certification
Every consignment ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Depending on grade and specification we can supply positive material identification (PMI), ultrasonic and dye-penetrant testing, intergranular corrosion testing to ASTM A262 or G28, and third-party inspection release notes from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, SGS or TUV.
Aurico Alloys LLP operates an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Material for sour service can be supplied certified to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 where the grade permits.
