When a modern refinery’s superheaters and turbine rings began showing early failure from high-temp cycling and stress corrosion, the switch to Nimonic 263 Round Bars brought remarkable downtime reduction, safety improvements, and lifetime value. Developed originally for aerospace, Nimonic 263 now leads in chemical, oil & gas, marine, pharma, and power plants worldwide trusted by engineers and procurement for its tough strength, weldability, and certified origin.

Nimonic 263 (UNS N07263, Werkstoff 2.4650) is a high nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum superalloy. Titanium and aluminum boost its precipitation-hardening; it is creep- and stress rupture-resistant even after exposure to 850°C service, with top oxidation resistance to 1000°C. Unlike many high-strength grades, it’s easy to weld, machine, and form, making it a staple in turbines, exhausts, chemical reactors, and marine hardware.
Sourced in diameters from 10mm to 200mm, Nimonic 263 round bars are available to global standards (BS HR 10, BS HR 10, DIN 17752, HR10) in bright, ground, or forged finishes. Reliable suppliers maintain stock and MTC certifications, while providers of Nimonic 263 Round Bars and Inconel 718 Round Bars ensure fast supply for urgent maintenance and overhaul projects.
For hardware stores/OEMs serving process, marine, pharma, and energy sectors, Nimonic 263 offers cost efficiency, long-term performance, and true compatibility for certified, traceable supply outperforming standard steels and many legacy nickel alloys.

Applications & Benefits
Why this grade
Nimonic 263 is the one grade in the range designed to be welded. Its aluminium plus titanium content is deliberately held below that of 105 and 115, so a fabricated assembly can be aged without cracking while still carrying useful strength to about 900°C. That is why combustion liners, transition pieces, casings and exhaust rings — anything built up from sheet and welded — are specified in 263 rather than in a stronger grade.
- Chemical: Reactors, acid evaporators, scrubbers.
- Marine: Superheater rings, shaft liners, saltwater heat exchangers.
- Oil & Gas: Gas turbine combustor liners, transition pieces.
- Pharma: Sterile plant hardware, high purity piping.
- Power: Turbine rings, exhaust cones, hot gas path components.
- Hardware: Certified rods and bars for urgent plant service.
