Super Duplex 2507 delivers roughly twice the yield strength of 316L with pitting resistance close to a nickel alloy, which is why subsea and seawater hardware is machined from it rather than from austenitic bar.

Chemical Composition
Nominally 25% chromium, 7% nickel and 4% molybdenum with 0.24-0.32% nitrogen, balanced to give roughly equal austenite and ferrite. That composition puts the pitting resistance equivalent number above 42, which is what defines a super duplex.
Mechanical and Physical Properties
Minimum yield strength 550 MPa and tensile 795 MPa - around double annealed 316L - with 15% elongation. The duplex structure resists the chloride stress-corrosion cracking that defeats standard austenitic grades, and the high nitrogen keeps toughness through thick sections.

Every consignment ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Depending on the specification we can add positive material identification, ultrasonic and dye-penetrant testing, intergranular corrosion testing to ASTM A262 or G28, ferrite measurement, and third-party inspection release from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, SGS or TUV.
