Monel Tube Supplier, Stockist and Exporter

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Monel Tube from ready stock in Mumbai to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets. Tube is specified by outside diameter and wall thickness rather than nominal bore, which makes it the form of choice for heat exchangers, instrumentation and any assembly where the fit into a tubesheet or fitting is what governs.

Monel covers nickel-copper alloys with outstanding resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid and flowing brackish water. U-bending, end facing, tube-to-tubesheet preparation and cut-to-length are handled in house.

Specifications by Grade – Pipe and tube

A specification is written for a product form. The standards below are the ones that cover pipe and tube; the plate, bar and tube specifications for these grades are different documents and are listed on their own pages.

Grades and International Equivalents

Monel 400N044002.4360
Monel K-500N055002.4375
Monel 401N044012.4370

Chemical Composition

Monel 400 is nominally 63% minimum nickel with 28-34% copper and up to 2.5% iron. Monel K-500 adds 2.3-3.15% aluminium and 0.35-0.85% titanium so it can be precipitation hardened.

Mechanical and Physical Properties

Monel 400 delivers about 550 MPa tensile strength annealed; K-500 reaches 1100 MPa in the aged condition while keeping the same corrosion behaviour. Both stay ductile down to cryogenic temperatures.

Industry Applications

How tube is used

Tube is thin-wall hollow section bought for heat transfer and for carrying fluid in small bores. It goes into shell-and-tube heat exchanger and condenser bundles, feedwater heaters and deaerators, U-bends and coiled tubing, and instrumentation and hydraulic lines. Wall thickness, straightness and the ability to bend without thinning the outer wall are what the buyer is specifying.

Where Monel Tube is specified
IndustryTypical use
MarineSeawater piping, pump shafts, propeller sleeves and heat exchangers.
Oil and gasHydrofluoric acid alkylation units, valve trim and downhole hardware.
Chemical processingHF acid service, caustic evaporators and brine handling.
DefenceNaval fittings, fasteners and submarine components.
Power generationFeedwater heaters and condenser tubing.

Testing and Certification

Every consignment ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Depending on grade and specification we can supply positive material identification (PMI), ultrasonic and dye-penetrant testing, intergranular corrosion testing to ASTM A262 or G28, hydrostatic testing, and third-party inspection release notes from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, SGS or TUV.

Aurico Alloys LLP operates an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Material for sour service can be supplied certified to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 where the grade permits.
