Inconel 693 Wire Supplier, Stockist and Exporter

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies inconel 693 wire (N06693) from ready stock in Mumbai, to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets.

Wire is bought on diameter tolerance and temper, and for welding, spring and mesh work those two properties matter more than anything on the certificate.

Inconel 693 is formulated against metal dusting, the failure mode that eats ordinary nickel alloys in carbon-rich syngas at 400-800°C.

Chemical Composition

Nickel balance with roughly 27-31% chromium and 2.5-4.0% aluminium, plus niobium. The aluminium addition is what suppresses metal dusting.

Mechanical and Physical Properties

Combines the oxidation resistance of a high-chromium alloy with specific resistance to metal dusting - the catastrophic carburisation that destroys conventional alloys in syngas.

Industry Applications

Why this grade

Inconel 693 runs about 29% chromium with 3.1% aluminium, and has the best resistance to metal dusting of any conventional alloy in production. Metal dusting attacks steel in high-carbon atmospheres between 450 and 800°C, breaking the surface down into powder; if that is the failure mode in your reformer or cracker, 693 is the grade the problem calls for.

Where inconel 693 wire is specified
IndustryTypical use
PetrochemicalSyngas coolers, reformer outlets and methanol plant.
Chemical processingDirect-reduction iron plant and carburising atmospheres.
Power generationCoal and biomass gasification equipment.
Heat treatmentCarbon-rich furnace atmospheres.
Oil and gasGas-processing hardware exposed to carbon activity above unity.

Testing and Certification

Every consignment ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Depending on the specification we can add positive material identification, ultrasonic and dye-penetrant testing, intergranular corrosion testing to ASTM G28 or A262, and third-party inspection release from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, SGS or TUV.

Aurico Alloys LLP operates an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, and can certify material to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for sour service where the grade permits.
