Inconel 693
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Inconel 693 (UNS N06693) as sheet, plate, coil, round bar, wire, pipe, tube and fittings, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. It offers superior metal dusting resistance, carburisation resistance and oxidation protection up to about 1100°C for ammonia synthesis thermowells and syngas reformers.
Key Properties
- Aluminium 2.5-4.0% with chromium 27-31% — the combination is what resists metal dusting, the catastrophic carburisation that attacks other alloys in CO-rich gas.
- Niobium 0.5-2.5% and iron 2.5-6.0%.
- Developed specifically for the failure mode, rather than adapted from a general-purpose grade.
- Carbon to 0.15% maximum.
