Inconel 686 Pipes Supplier, Stockist and Exporter
Table of Contents
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Inconel 686 pipe (N06686, Werkstoff 2.4606), seamless to ASTM B622 and welded to ASTM B619, from Mumbai to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets.
A 686 pipe line carries the fluids that end the life of lesser alloys: acid condensate from incineration and flue gas, chlorine dioxide bleach liquor, mixed acids with halide contamination. Piping in those services is where a weld or a stagnant leg starts to pit first, and 686’s molybdenum and tungsten are what keep localised attack from starting there.

Mechanical and Physical Properties
Annealed 686 pipe runs around 720 MPa tensile. The schedule is set by pressure and corrosion allowance; with carbon at 0.01% maximum the alloy is supplied solution annealed and welds without the carbide sensitisation that would open a path for intergranular attack.
Industry Applications
Why Inconel 686 pipe
Pipe in 686 is chosen for margin. Where 625 or C-276 lines have pitted at welds or under deposits, 686 resists the same fluid with room to spare, in oxidising and reducing conditions alike. Welded pipe to B619 is made by automatic welding without filler metal and supplied solution annealed; seamless to B622 suits smaller bores and higher pressures. Either way, order the fittings to match – see 686 fittings.
| Industry | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Pollution control | Acid-condensate and scrubber recirculation lines in flue-gas treatment. |
| Waste treatment | Incineration scrubber and quench piping. |
| Pulp and paper | Chlorine dioxide bleaching plant piping. |
| Chemical processing | Mixed-acid lines with halide contamination. |
Testing and Certification
Pipe is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Hydrostatic testing, ultrasonic examination, dye-penetrant testing of ends and welded seams, positive material identification and ASTM G28 testing are available on request, with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 certification and third-party inspection under our ISO 9001:2015 system.
