Inconel 686

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Inconel 686 (UNS N06686, W.Nr. 2.4606) as sheet, plate, coil, foil, round bar, wire, pipe, tube and fittings, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. A nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy, it offers extreme pitting and crevice corrosion resistance for phosphoric and sulphuric acid reactors and FGD systems.

Key Properties

Molybdenum 15-17% with tungsten 3.0-4.4% — roughly double the molybdenum of Inconel 625.
Carbon 0.01% maximum, so it resists sensitisation in the weld heat-affected zone without a post-weld anneal.
Chromium 19-23% with titanium 0.02-0.25% and iron to 2.0%.
Comparable in service to the Hastelloy C-series, for mixed oxidising and reducing acids and hot chlorides.
