Inconel 625 Pipes Supplier, Stockist and Exporter

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Inconel 625 pipe (N06625, Werkstoff 2.4856) to ASTM B444 from Mumbai, to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets.

A 625 pipe line is a seawater line, a sour-service line or an acid-condensate line – somewhere a carbon-steel or stainless system would need replacing within a few years. Offshore seawater and firewater systems, sour-gas process piping and flue-gas desulphurisation lines are built in it because 625 resists the pitting and crevice attack those fluids cause, and because it can be welded without losing the properties the line was designed on.

Mechanical and Physical Properties

Annealed 625 pipe runs around 830–965 MPa tensile with yield above 415 MPa, so for a given pressure rating the schedule can often come down against a stainless line. It is strengthened in the annealed condition, so field welds keep their properties without post-weld heat treatment.

Industry Applications

Why Inconel 625 pipe

The argument for 625 pipe is that the corrosion allowance in seawater and chloride brines can be kept small, because the alloy is not being eaten. It needs no post-weld heat treatment, which matters on an offshore module where a line is welded in place. It is the general-purpose alloy for this duty; where the service is hot, acid and heavily contaminated with halides, 686 pipe is the step up.

IndustryTypical use
Offshore oil and gasSeawater, firewater and produced-water lines, and sour-service process piping.
MarineSeawater cooling and ballast systems.

Chemical processingChloride-bearing and sulphuric acid process piping.

Testing and Certification

Pipe is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Hydrostatic testing, ultrasonic examination, dye-penetrant testing of ends and positive material identification are available on request; we can certify to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for sour service and arrange third-party inspection under our ISO 9001:2015 system.
