Inconel 601 Tube Supplier, Stockist and Exporter

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Inconel 601 tube (N06601, Werkstoff 2.4851) to ASTM B167 from Mumbai, to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets.

Inconel 601 tube is a furnace component. It is the radiant tube a burner fires down, the protection tube around a thermocouple in a heat-treat line, the muffle a product travels through – parts that live in the hot zone and cycle every time the furnace does. Its 1.0–1.7% aluminium builds an oxide that stays on through that cycling, which is the whole reason to pay for it over 600.

Mechanical and Physical Properties

Annealed 601 tube runs roughly 550–760 MPa tensile at room temperature, but tube in this grade is sized for the furnace, not the test machine: what matters is oxidation resistance to about 1200°C and strength that holds up under repeated heating and cooling.

Industry Applications

Why Inconel 601 tube

Choose 601 tube when the tube faces radiant heat and thermal cycling rather than load. Where 600 scale spalls off every cooldown, 601’s aluminium-stabilised oxide stays attached, so a radiant tube or a protection tube lasts more cycles before it thins through. It does not carry load well above 1000°C; if the tube is structural at that temperature, 617 tube has the creep strength 601 lacks.

Where Inconel 601 tube is specified
IndustryTypical use
Heat treatmentRadiant tubes for gas-fired and electric furnaces, and muffle tubes for continuous processing.
InstrumentationThermocouple protection tubes in cycling hot zones.
PetrochemicalTubes in thermal reactors and catalyst regeneration equipment.
Power generationCombustion-zone tube hardware and waste-to-energy plant.

Testing and Certification

Tube ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Ultrasonic and hydrostatic testing, dye-penetrant examination of welds and positive material identification to confirm the aluminium-bearing grade are available on request; third-party release can be arranged under our ISO 9001:2015 system.
