Why this grade
Incoloy 825 is not a high-temperature grade at all. It takes the 800 base and adds about 3% molybdenum, 2% copper and titanium stabilisation, producing the wet-corrosion member of the family: sulphuric and phosphoric acid duty, and the resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking that 316L does not have.
