Haynes® 556 Round Bars (UNS R30556, ASTM B572) are an iron-nickel-chromium-cobalt alloy built for elevated-temperature service where sulfidizing, carburizing and chlorine-bearing atmospheres would attack a conventional stainless or nickel bar. Waste incineration hardware, chemical process fixtures and high-temperature process equipment are the typical destination for this grade in bar form.

556 combines effective resistance to sulfidizing, carburizing and chlorine-bearing environments with good strength and oxidation resistance at high temperature - a combination that lets it stand in for both a corrosion-resistant and a heat-resistant grade in the same application, where a plant might otherwise need to choose between the two.

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Haynes® 556 round bars to ASTM B572 and AMS 5877, with full material test certificates to EN 10204 3.1, for chemical processing, waste-to-energy and general high-temperature industrial use.

Standard bar and rod diameters are quoted against the mill programme in force at the time of enquiry - send us your required size and quantity and we will confirm availability and lead time.
