Hastelloy® C2000

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Hastelloy® C2000 as sheet, plate and round bar, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates.

Hastelloy® C-2000 (UNS N06200, W.Nr. 2.4675) combines C-22's chromium at 22-24% with C-276's molybdenum at 15-17%, and adds copper at 1.3-1.9%. The copper is what extends it into sulphuric acid, which neither of the other two handles as well.

Key Properties

Copper 1.3-1.9% — the addition neither C-22 nor C-276 has, and the reason to specify this grade.
Chromium 22-24% and molybdenum 15-17%, the higher of each from its two parents.
Carbon 0.010% maximum.
Sulphuric acid across a wide concentration range, as well as the mixed-acid service the C series is bought for.

Haynes measures C-2000 at 0.09 mm/y in boiling 10% sulphuric acid against 0.18 mm/y for C-276, and below 0.01 mm/y in 5% hydrochloric acid at 66 °C. It is set against the other Hastelloy grades, acid by acid, in our acid and alkali service guide.
