Stellite® 12 round bar (UNS R30012) is turned into cutting-edge tools and abrasion-resistant components - industrial knife and blade blanks, saw tips, pump vanes, bearing bushes and rotor blade edges. Its higher tungsten and carbon give a larger carbide fraction than Stellite 6, so it holds an edge under severe sliding wear at 45–51 HRC, with properties retained to about 700 °C.
