Alloy 602 CA combines an alumina scale with carbide strengthening, so it keeps creep strength at temperatures where alloy 601 has already softened.

Our pipe is fabricated from ASTM B168 / ASME SB 168 sheet and plate of the same heat, and ships with the mill certificate for that material plus our fabrication records.

Chemical Composition

Nickel balance with 24-26% chromium, 8-11% iron, 1.8-2.4% aluminium and a deliberately high 0.15-0.25% carbon, micro-alloyed with yttrium and zirconium.

Mechanical and Physical Properties

The carbide dispersion plus the alumina scale give the highest creep-rupture strength of the alloy 600 family, with oxidation and carburisation resistance to 1200°C.

Testing and Certification

Every consignment ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Depending on the specification we can add positive material identification, ultrasonic and dye-penetrant testing, intergranular corrosion testing to ASTM G28 or A262, hydrostatic testing, and third-party inspection release from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, SGS or TUV.
