Nickel Alloy Round Bar Supplier, Stockist and Exporter

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies nickel alloy round bar from ready stock in Mumbai to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets. Bar is bought to be machined: shafts, stems, fasteners, forged blanks and turned components are all cut from it, and the finish and straightness it arrives in decide how much stock has to come off.

Nickel Alloy covers nickel-base alloys combining high-temperature strength with resistance to oxidising and reducing media. Bar is covered by a different standard from the flat products - ASTM B160 for Nickel 200 / 201 and B164 for Monel 400 against B162 and B127 for sheet - so a bar order must cite the bar specification, not the one on a plate certificate.

Chemical Composition

Compositions span commercially pure nickel (99.0% Ni min in Nickel 200) through Ni-Cu (Monel 400: 63% Ni, 31% Cu), Ni-Cr-Fe (Inconel 600: 72% Ni, 15.5% Cr) and Ni-Cr-Mo-Nb (Inconel 625: 58% Ni, 21.5% Cr, 9% Mo, 3.6% Nb) systems.

Mechanical and Physical Properties

Tensile strength runs from roughly 380 MPa for annealed Nickel 200 to 830 MPa and above for Inconel 625, with service temperatures reaching 1000°C in the solid-solution-strengthened grades.

Industry Applications

How round bar is used

Round bar is the starting stock for anything turned, milled or forged: pump and valve shafts, valve stems and seats, studs, bolting and fasteners, pins and bushings, and forged blanks for flanges and fittings. It is supplied hot rolled, forged, or cold drawn and centreless ground depending on diameter and the finish the machining route needs. Hollow bar and hex bar are the same material in a section chosen to save machining time.

Where nickel alloy round bar is specified
IndustryTypical use
Chemical processingReactor internals, heat exchangers and transfer piping handling acids, chlorides and caustics.
Oil and gasDownhole tubing, wellhead components and sour-service equipment meeting NACE MR0175.
Power generationSuperheater and reheater elements, boiler tubing and flue-gas desulphurisation systems.
AerospaceEngine casings, exhaust systems and airframe fasteners.
MarineSeawater piping, condenser tubing and offshore platform hardware.

Testing and Certification

Every consignment ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Depending on grade and specification we can supply positive material identification (PMI), ultrasonic and dye-penetrant testing, intergranular corrosion testing to ASTM A262 or G28, and third-party inspection release notes from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, SGS or TUV.

Aurico Alloys LLP operates an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Material for sour service can be supplied certified to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 where the grade permits.
