Inconel 783 Billets Supplier, Stockist and Exporter
Table of Contents
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies inconel 783 billets (R30783) from ready stock in Mumbai, to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets.
Billet is the semi-finished, primary mill product: an as-cast ingot that has been press- or hammer-converted to a round or square section but not yet rolled or drawn down to a finished bar size. Forge shops and ring rollers buy it as their own starting stock, so what matters is melt route, internal soundness and freedom from segregation — not the surface finish or straightness a machine shop would ask of round bar.
Inconel 783 keeps a low thermal expansion coefficient while resisting oxidation, so turbine clearances stay tight without the alloy scaling away.

Billet or Round Bar?
Both are stocked in Inconel 783 and both are supplied to AMS 5940 / ASTM B637. The difference is what happens to the material next.
| Billet | Round Bar | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical buyer | Forge shops, ring rollers, forging job shops | Machine shops, fabricators |
| What it is | Primary mill product, press- or hammer-converted from ingot | Rolled or drawn to finished bar size |
| What matters most | Melt cleanliness, macrostructure, ultrasonic soundness | Straightness, surface finish, dimensional tolerance |
| Next step | Forging, ring rolling, upset or extrusion | Direct machining |

Mechanical and Physical Properties
Combines a low coefficient of thermal expansion with oxidation resistance that conventional controlled-expansion alloys lack, holding useful strength to about 700°C.
Industry Applications
| Industry | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Aerospace | Turbine shroud rings, casings and seal supports. |
| Aerospace | Clearance-control hardware where thermal growth must be minimised. |
| Power generation | Industrial gas-turbine sealing components. |
| Instrumentation | Dimensionally stable high-temperature structures. |
| Research | Fixtures needing controlled expansion at temperature. |
Testing and Certification
Every consignment ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating heat number, chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Depending on the specification we can add positive material identification, ultrasonic and dye-penetrant testing, intergranular corrosion testing to ASTM G28 or A262, and third-party inspection release from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, SGS or TUV.
Aurico Alloys LLP operates an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, and can certify material to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for sour service where the grade permits.
