Incoloy 800H

Incoloy® 800H (UNS N08810, W.Nr. 1.4958) is Incoloy 800 with the carbon controlled to a range rather than a ceiling — 0.05 to 0.10% — and an annealing practice that leaves a coarser grain. Both changes exist for one reason: creep-rupture strength above about 600 °C. The composition is otherwise 800's, so the oxidation and carburisation resistance comes with it unchanged.

Key Properties

Carbon 0.05-0.10%, a range with a minimum. Incoloy 800 specifies only a maximum; the carbon is what the creep strength is built on.
Coarse grain from a controlled anneal, which is the other half of the creep-rupture improvement and is not a composition change at all.
Otherwise Incoloy 800's chemistry — nickel 30-35%, chromium 19-23%, iron 39.5% minimum.
Incoloy 800HT goes further, tightening aluminium and titanium and controlling their sum.
