MP35N
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies MP35N (UNS R30035, W.Nr. 2.4999) as round bar and wire from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. It is a multiphase cobalt-nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that combines very high strength with corrosion resistance, specified for fasteners, springs, oil and gas wireline and medical implant components.
Key Properties
- Nickel 33.00–37.00%, chromium 19.00–21.00% and molybdenum 9.00–10.50% on a cobalt balance, with iron and titanium each capped at 1.00% and carbon at 0.025%.
- Strength from cold work and ageing. Annealed, it behaves much like a high-strength stainless steel; cold worked and aged, it reaches yield strengths few corrosion-resistant alloys match without giving up ductility.
- Sour service within hardness limits. It is listed under NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156-3 to 35 HRC, or 51 HRC cold reduced plus aged; see our sour service guide.
- Different from Elgiloy and CoCrMo, the other two cobalt alloys we supply as wire: each carries its own UNS number and its own standards.
Applications
- Oil and gas wireline cable, downhole tool components, packer springs and fasteners
- Aerospace high-strength fasteners, fittings and springs
- Orthopaedic and cardiovascular implant components, surgical instruments and guidewires
- Marine fasteners and fittings under high load
