Ti-8Al-1Mo-1V (Ti-8-1-1) – UNS R54810
Ti-8Al-1Mo-1V (Ti-8-1-1, UNS R54810) is a near-alpha titanium alloy in which aluminium is the alpha stabiliser and small additions of molybdenum, vanadium and iron give a little beta. It is intended for elevated-temperature service, with good creep strength, good weldability and the lowest density of any titanium-base alloy. It is used in the annealed condition for airframe and jet-engine parts that need high strength, creep strength, a good stiffness-to-density ratio and toughness.
