Ti-6Al-7Nb (ATI 6-7) – UNS R56700
Ti-6Al-7Nb (ATI 6-7, UNS R56700) is an alpha-beta titanium alloy developed for medical and surgical implants, with properties close to Ti-6Al-4V but substituting niobium for vanadium. Specified to ASTM F1295 and ISO 5832-11, it has been in clinical use since 1986 and is widely used for orthopaedic implants: total hip-replacement stems, fracture-fixation plates, intramedullary rods and nails, spinal devices, screws and wires. Its elastic modulus is about 105 GPa in the solution-annealed condition.
