Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn (Ti-6-6-2) – UNS R56620

Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn (Ti-6-6-2, UNS R56620) is a highly beta-stabilised alpha-beta titanium alloy, a higher-strength modification of Ti-6Al-4V produced by adding vanadium, iron and copper. It can be used annealed or in the solution-treated-and-aged condition. Because welding is generally not recommended, it is chosen for machined and fastened parts, including airframe and jet-engine components, rocket-engine cases and ordnance.
