Stellite® 21 strip (UNS R30021) is narrow cobalt-chromium-molybdenum flat stock, slit to width for valve-seat cladding and high-temperature edge overlay. Its tough, molybdenum-bearing matrix resists thermal and mechanical shock and reducing environments, so a strip band gives a durable running surface on valve and seat components that see hot, corrosive and cyclic duty. It work-hardens in service from about 27–40 HRC.
