Stellite® 21 powder (UNS R30021) is a cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy supplied for surface-engineering and near-net-shape routes: plasma transferred arc (PTA), laser cladding, thermal spray, and powder-metallurgy or additive manufacturing. Its tough, molybdenum-bearing matrix suits high-temperature valve trim, thermal-shock and reducing environments, and its CoCrMo chemistry is well established for biomedical additive work.
Composition & Particle Size
Chemistry follows Stellite 21 (UNS R30021) - see the full composition and physical constants on the Stellite 21 grade page. Powder is atomised and screened to the particle-size cut the deposition route needs, so oxygen pick-up and cut are set by the process (PTA, laser, thermal spray or additive) rather than by a single default. Tell us the process and we quote the matching cut against a current lot analysis; particle-size ranges are stated per order rather than published as a fixed list.
Applications & Benefits
- PTA and laser cladding of high-temperature valve trim and seats.
- Thermal spray coatings for thermal-shock and reducing-environment wear.
- Additive manufacturing of CoCrMo components, including biomedical.
- Same molybdenum-bearing metallurgy as the wrought and cast forms.
Supplied ex-stock from Mumbai with mill test certificates and export packaging. Contact us with your process and required cut for a quote, or see all Stellite 21 forms.
