Incoloy 909

Incoloy® 909 (UNS N19909) is a controlled-expansion superalloy strengthened with niobium at 4.3-5.2%, with aluminium deliberately held to 0.15% maximum. That low aluminium is what distinguishes it from Incoloy 903, and it is supplied to AMS 5892 and AMS 5893.
Key Properties
- Niobium 4.3-5.2% with titanium 1.3-1.8% and cobalt 12-16%.
- Aluminium capped at 0.15%. Incoloy 903 carries up to 1.15%, and that difference is the reason to specify one over the other.
- Low, controlled thermal expansion with a constant modulus.
- AMS 5893 for flat product and AMS 5892 / 5884 for bar.
