Haynes® HR-120
Haynes® HR-120 is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy offering carburising and sulfidising resistance to 2000 °F, which makes it a lower-cost answer than the fully nickel-based grades for incinerator internals and radiant tubes.
Key Properties
- Iron base, not nickel. Nickel 37% nominal and chromium 25% nominal on an iron balance, which is what makes it the economical answer in this family.
- Carburising and sulphidising resistance at temperature, the services that attack many nickel alloys.
- Nitrogen 0.2% and niobium 0.7% nominal for strength.
- No ASTM standard is recorded for it in the specification table below.
Applications
- Incinerator internals and grates
- Radiant tubes and furnace rolls
- Calciner and kiln components
- Ore processing hardware
