Duplex 2205
Duplex 2205 is the workhorse duplex stainless: a roughly balanced ferrite-austenite structure that delivers about twice the yield strength of 316L with markedly better resistance to chloride pitting and stress corrosion cracking. S32205 is the modern higher-nitrogen version of the original S31803 and both are supplied against this grade.
